The Officers and Members of the Westmont Fire Company No. 1 are pleased to announce that we have received a donation from the William G. Rohrer Charitable Foundation. This foundation is named after William G. Rohrer who was a local business man and Mayor of Haddon Township for over 30 years. During his lifetime, Mr. Rohrer played a major role in a variety of charitable and fundraising and community improvement activities and contributed to numerous educational and charitable causes. His legacy lives on in part through the William G. Rohrer Charitable Foundation that his estate funds in his honor. The foundation that honors Mr. Rohrer — the former banker, business owner, public official and humanitarian whose life was dedicated to improving the educational and economic prosperity of southern New Jersey — focuses on funding local causes in keeping with Mr. Rohrer's long-time dedication to local organizations. The donation will be used to replace equipment and purchase new training equipment for the members to use. Mr. Rohrers daughter Linda brought her grandson Griffin to the Fire Station to present members of the Westmont Fire Company No. 1 with the dontation. We gladly thank the William G. Rohrer Charitable Foundation for their donation and continuing efforts to support the Westmont Fire Company No.1 |
