Cuthbert Road 2nd Alarm

Shortly after 2230 hours, Station 15-1 and BLS 1557 were dispatched to the area of Cuthbert Road and Addison Avenue for a reported house fire. Moments after dispatch, Captain Bill Tessing 3rd arrived on location and reported a 2 1/2-story dwelling with fire through the roof. Lawnside Avenue All Hands

Shortly before 2100 hours, Station 15-1 and BLS 1647 were dispatched to 226 Lawnside Avenue for a reported dwelling fire. Squirt 15-1 responded quickly under the command of Captain Jim Moore along with BLS 1647. They were advised that police were reporting a working fire. Emerald Avenue Vehicle Fire

Shortly after 4:30pm Engine 151 and BLS 1557 were dispatched to Emerald Avenue and Penn Avenue for a vehicle fire. Upon arrival, Assistant Chief Vitelli found a vehicle with the engine compartment well involved. New Officers Installed

On Friday, February 15, 2008 at the Westmont Fire Company's monthly meeting, Chief John Medes announced his new officer candidates for promotion, all of which the company unanimously approved. They were Engine Lieutenant Bob Callahan, Station Lieutenant Dan Devitt, EMS Lieutenant Matt Gallagher and Ladder Lieutenant Ernie Kozarski. Shortly after 11:30 a.m. Task Force 16 (Collingswood District 16 and Engine 1512) was dispatched in the area of Haddon and Knight Avenues for a building fire. Collingswood Chief John Amet (1601) arrived and had smoke in the area. Upon further investigation the address was amended to 556 Haddon Avenue.
